 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the American is an actor comedian, activist, and actress. She was born in Soviet Union to Jewish immigrants and began her career after immigrating from Israel to the United States as a child actor. She gained notoriety for her roles in AT&T television commercials as saleswoman Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016, and then from in 2020. Apart from her commercial appearances, she was a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally, she was an actor on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). After being featured in the unaired TV pilot for New Warriors, Vayntrub also voices Squirrel Girl on Marvel Rising. Vayntrub was Jewish born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents and her fled antisemitism when she was two years old. They emigrated to the U.S. with their children. Because of her family's financial problems the actress began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School, however, she quit after her sophomore year, obtained a GED and then went on to earn an Associate of Arts in Communication from University of California, San Diego. She was a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and learned the art of improv comedy.
